We provide a variety of services free-of-charge to UCLA campus employees. Requests for our services should be directed through our service request form. Our services consist of the following:
All UCLA campus employees are encouraged to take BruinErgo, web-based ergonomics training and risk assessment survey. All employes are required to complete BruinErgo as a first step to having an on-site evalution.
If you experience login errors please contact us for more information.
We provide on-site evaluations for all campus employees. If you are feeling discomfort or just want to ensure you are set up correctly at your workstation, you can request a personal evaluation with one of our campus ergonomists.
New CUE employees should request an on-site evaluation within 30 days from start date. You will first be asked to complete BruinErgo prior to scheduling a visit.
Ergonomics Product Demonstration Lab & Loaner Program
An ergonomist will schedule you for a lab visit based on the results of your on-site evaluation. Loaner equipment is available for evaluation.
Back Safety Training
For jobs that are more physically demanding, especially jobs requiring lifting and materials handling, we can provide back safety training. The training is tailored to suit the needs of a specific group or department, and consists of a group presentation as well as consultation for improving the ergonomics of specific job tasks.
We are available to provide ergonomics training or consultation for any campus job. While the majority of our consultations are related to computer workstations, we also provide ergonomics consultation for laboratory, kitchen, custodial, maintenance and shop-related positions. Please let us know on the request form if the job is non-computer related.
We can provide department-wide trainings in the form of group presentations (to larger groups of employees) and group workstation consultations (to smaller groups). Please mention on the online request if interested in receiving group training.
